Notice of Motion

To enable us to self sufficiently retain and improve upon the number of social activities that we enjoyed over the last few years, I move that:

The dues for the handyDART social fund be increased by $1.00 per month; that is: from the present $2.00 per month being withdrawn from our payroll to $3.00 per month;

I also move that motion should be voted upon by secret ballot in the First Group handyDART employee room.

Under our Local 333 By-Laws, this motion requires a two-thirds (2/3) majority in order to pass.

The motion to hold a secret ballot on this motion shall be held at the April section meeting.  If the motion for the secret ballot is defeated (and I hope it isn’t), then the motion for the dues increase will be voted on at the meeting.
